IP rights assigned using this document may be registered (registered trade marks, patents, registered design rights) or unregistered (copyright, rights in passing off, unregistered design rights). Sample IP Assignment
Under the IP assignment, registered rights must be identified using their registration numbers and other registration particulars, whereas unregistered rights must be identified by reference to the works and materials in which they subsist.
The assignment may or may not be made with "full title guarantee", and may or may not be accompanied by an express waiver of moral rights.

Note: an assignment of registered IP rights should itself be registered with the appropriate authorities - for example, an assignment of a UK registered trade mark should be registered with the UK Intellectual Property Office using Form TM 16 (Application to record a change of ownership).
